Book an afternoon tour of the Pilanesberg Heritage sites.

In this tour, guests are taken from our collection points, to see the Bakgatla Ruins and the Grave sites located in and around the Pilanesberg Game reserve. Visit the ruins of lost tribal villages, as well as the grave sites of the former Bakgatla kings, among them, the grave of Kgosi Pilane ii, the king whom the Pilanesberg was named after.

Join us on a trip to visit the state of the art Mphebatho Museum located in the heart of the Bakgatla Tribes Capital, Moruleng Village. Join us on a tour to visit the newly opened Pilane Royal Family Museum, located in Lukutung Village, at the Royal Home of the chief of the Bakgatla Tribe. Kgosi Pilane, who is the descendant of Kgosi Pilane ii, whom the Pilanesberg was named after. (Pilanes-Berg, Translated as (Pilanes-Mountains). Join us as we explore the history of the Pilane Royal Family

Pottery and clay art has a long and valued role throughout most indigenous tribes around the world. Take a class and learn how the Bakgatla tribe make their pottery and clay using their local natural material.

Tribal Dances have a rich history throughout Africa and have been used as a form of communication and expression throughout history. Join us for a traditional dance class and let us teach you the traditional Batswana dances, and the meaning behind them.
